Join us this October for Dearly
Departed: Spadina After Dark.
This will be an evening focusing on the lives and deaths of the
families that called Spadina Museum home, as well as the impact the
War and deadly diseases had on Toronto's population. Learn about
cultural and social mourning traditions, spiritualism, and related
ghost tales. This will be an immersive, educational, and frightful
experience.
As we make our way through the museum, guides will immerse you in
the region's oldest ghost stories, including iconic tales related
to the Baldwin and Austin families. Your guide will share stories
focused on the area's haunted past, learn about the epidemics that
affected life on the ridge, the era's passion for spiritualism and
the supernatural, tragic love stories, stories of restless spirits,
and other striking historical events. Light refreshments will be
served.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to explore one of Toronto's most
beautiful landmarks after dark!
Please note that these tours will
mention death, illness, and other difficult topics. Recommended for
12 and above. Youth 12-16 must be accompanied by an
adult.
